Abstract

The present research addresses the growing impact of Artificial Intelligence in the context of Intellectual Property, highlighting the need to assess whether current legal principles are adequate for the exponential development of this technology. The study focuses on AI-generated human voice and analyzes the legal omissions concerning copyright protection in this scenario, concentrating the issue on determining whether the law is keeping pace with the abrupt development of these intelligences. The approach used is deductive, employing the monographic method as the procedure. The research technique is based on the analysis of primary documentary and bibliographic sources. The first section outlines the scope of Intellectual Property and its means of protection. The second section, therefore, addresses AI and its impact, highlighting its role in digital transformation and emphasizing the importance of considering biases present in the data used by algorithms, underscoring the need to understand the ethical and regulatory boundaries of technological development. The third section examines the implications of using AI-created human voices, pointing out that perfect reproduction can cause confusion, generate issues in social relations, and affect fundamental rights. Additionally, it highlights the lack of transparency in algorithms and the potential violation of data in voice capture, revealing a legal gap in the protection of these rights.
